The 
Conveyor Junction is a part of the storage system.
Usage
The Conveyor Junction is used alongside several similar blocks to link inventories on a ship or station into a network. Once established, the conveyor network allows items to be easily transferred between blocks and will automatically move items as needed.

Power
From release 1.196 on, power requirements of the conveyor system are not progressive based on length of lines anymore, but are constant 1W.

Trivia
In limited experimentation it has been found that a Conveyor Junction follows a pattern when checking where to dump inventory. If you orient a conveyor where the sides are all right side up, as shown by the label on each face, and the top has the writing on the far side, the conveyor will first try and dump right, then left, then to the back. This information can help with routing assembler inventory dumps to prevent pile up.
Construction
In contrast to a Conveyor Tube, the Junction connects in all six directions, and it stands in for the non-existent X-junction or other shapes. It has mount points on all sides, providing higher stability than Conveyor Tubes or Curved Conveyor Tubes, at a higher component cost.
