The Magnetic Plate is a block that is a very compact Landing Gear-like block. A large DLC variant is the Large Magnetic Plate.

Usage

A plushie built on an upside-down magplate, magnetised to a desk

The Magnetic Plate is a block that is functionally identical to the Landing Gear, so see there for usage details.

The difference to the landing gear is its compact flat size that adds a magnetic grip to any block you place it on. Use the Magnetic Plate to build custom landing struts, autolocking landing pads, or magnetic cranes in any shape.

Construction

They exist for small and large grid and fit into a 1x1x1 block space, but their collision size is much smaller. The Magnetic Plate has a much lower component costs than a same-size landing gear, but that also means it has fewer hitpoints and breaks more easily.
