The Short Suspension is the most compact of all wheel suspension types because instead of two it is only one block deep. The 5x5 wheel suspension is the largest of the suspension types, which is reflected in its mass and material cost. The suspension itself takes up 2x2x3 block space on both large and small ship grids.

The Short Wheel Suspension 5x5 also exists in an offroad variant that is part of the paid Wasteland DLC, with the same properties.
