The Half Bed Open is a decorative block that recharges your suit power. You can build this downloadable-content (DLC) block only if you have purchased the Decorative Pack 3 DLC. Any Engineers with or without DLC may be allowed to use the bed after is was built.
Usage
Apart from making a ship look more inhabited, the Bed's function is the same as the vanilla Passenger Seat's. It's a shape variant of the Inset Bed.
Construction
If Progression is on, you need to build an Interior Wall first to unlock it.
The Half Bed Open is only available for large grid. It takes up only half a block's space, which means a player could still walk past. In contrast to Half Beds, these open beds have no airtight backwall, which makes them suitable to be used as, for example, bunkbeds in barracks.
