 Platinum Ingots are a refined material. They are created by processing Platinum Ore in a Refinery.

Usage

You need platinum ingots from mid-game on to be able to build ion thrusters and rockets, and for Elite handheld tools and player weapons.

Platinum ingots are used to assemble the following components:

•  Thruster Components

Platinum ingots are used to assemble the following tools:

•  Elite Welder
•  Elite Grinder
•  Elite Hand Drill

Platinum ingots are used to assemble the following Elite weapons and ammunitions:

•  MR-30E Rifle
•  S-10E Pistol
• Precision  PRO-1 Rocket Launcher
•  Rockets for all rocket launchers

Tip

If you cannot find enough of the rare Platinum Ore, consider salvaging and disassembling: Always grind down the ion thrusters of captured spaceships for valuable Thruster Components. Check the captured ships' cargo for elite tools and loot rockets from rocket launchers.
