The Oxygen Bottle is a tool that Engineers carry in their inventories to automatically refill oxygen in their suit reservoirs.

For a related item, see also Hydrogen Bottle.

How to refill the bottle

The bottle is reusable and the amount of gas contained within is represented by a percentage value. The freshly assembled bottle is empty and can be refilled at any powered Icon Block O2 H2 Generator.png O2/H2 Generator.

  1. Place the bottle inside the inventory of the O2/H2 Generator.
  2. Ensure the O2/H2 Generator is powered.
  3. Put Icon Item Ice.png Ice into the O2/H2 Generator inventory, or make ice accessible through the conveyor system.
  4. Click the Refill button in the Control Panel Screen.

The O2/H2 Generator will split ice into oxygen gas and hydrogen gas and fill the bottles in its inventory.

Usage

With a full bottle in their inventories, Space Engineers will automatically refill their suit reservoirs when the suit gas reserves are depleted below ~33%-25%. Each bottle can refill the engineer's suit about three times, before being depleted.

The Oxygen Bottle weighs 30 kilogram and uses 120 Liters of space, making them quite cumbersome to carry in an 1xInventory game setting.

Assembly

Bottles are manufactured in the Icon Block Assembler.png Assembler.

The Oxygen Bottle is made from Icon Item Iron Ingot.png Iron Ingots, Icon Item Silicon Wafer.png Silicon Wafers, and Icon Item Nickel Ingot.png Nickel Ingots.
