I have done some testing on how powerful the dampeners are compared to when they are activated by player input. The faster your ship is moving, the more powerful the dampeners will be.

I did some testing and found theese results:

At 100-10 meters per sec (mps), dampeners will be above 10x as powerful.

At 7 (mps), dampeners will be about 7.5x as powerful.

At 4 (mps), dampeners will be about 4x as powerful.

At 1 (mps), dampeners will be about 1.1x as powerful.

Below 1 mps, the dampeners actually go weaker than when the rockets receive player input.

I tested bouth big ships and small ships and got the same results.
