The Simple Bed is a functional block that recharges your suit power. A bed keeps an offline player alive and suspends their food consumption. Visually and functionally similar DLC blocks are the Bed, Inset Bed, and Half Bed.
Usage
Usage is similar to a Passenger Seat, press F key to enter or exit.
- The Simple Bed can act as a powered Passenger Seat to recharge your spacesuit. To not run out of oxygen, additionally, place the bed in an airtight room.
- Food consumption is paused for players in beds.
- The Simple Bed counts as seat during a jump.
- The Simple Bed has a built-in Control Panel.
- A Simple Bed does not protect against radiation damage.
Inventory
The Simple Bed has 400 litres inventory that can hold only Space credits, datapads, and plushies (obviously). It has no conveyor access, so you need to interact with the Simple Bed directly by pressing I key.
Construction
If Progression is on, you need to build an Interior Wall first to unlock it.
The block can only be built on large-grid ships and stations. Bed blocks are open on top, and are therefor airtight only on the bottom. It has attachment points on all sides but the open top.
Trivia
Before this block was released, engineers rotated 
Passage blocks 90-degrees and used them as non-functional beds.
