Creating Custom World Templates

A summary of the options, pick one:
- A world in your saves that acts as a template, which you can Save As (left side) to duplicate and you can customize before loading.
- A world you Publish (left side in Load Game menu) to workshop which you can clone from New Game's Workshop tab; this one you cannot customize its settings before loading it.
- A world in the Custom Game tab of the New Game menu, acts just like the vanilla ones.
Here's how to do the 3rd option:
- Go to SE's install folder (in steam you can rightclick -> properties, installed files tab and Browse button to open the folder).
- Then go into Content then CustomWorlds.
- You can simply copy an existing world right here, or you can copy-paste one of the existing ones.
The existing ones have a .scf file that can be drag&dropped into a text editor to edit (.scf is assigned by windows for something else). This file is also not required so you're free to just delete it for your own clone.
Steam updates and validations of the game will not delete things so your worlds should be safe from that at least, but of course back up anything you don't want to lose from the plethora of ways one can lose files.
