Gold Ore is a naturally occurring rare ore found in deep veins on planets, moons, and asteroids. It has a shiny metallic yellowish appearance.

Usage

Gold is used to make late-game components such as Gravity Components, Superconductors and Ion Thruster Components.

Yield

Gold Ore is processed in a Refinery to produce Gold Ingots at a 1% ratio. Which is to say 1000 Kg of ore will produce 10 Kg of ingots. A refinery can produce 94 kg of gold Ingot in one hour, without yield or Speed modules, at "realistic" refinery speed. 1 kg of gold ingot takes up 0.005 L of volume.
